Working of the app

The app allows users to track each others' location live. The app uses Google Games Services to achieve this and hence no information of the user is sent outside of the device except to the Google Games Services. User has to login using Google Plus account and they can then track other users who have logged in using Google Plus account in the app. The app sends location info only when it is in foreground and no data is sent when the app is in background.

Data collected by the app

The app collects following data when the panic (or distress) buttons in the main view are pressed.

- Location. Current location of the user is collected and sent to preconfigured user. The location is fetched only when the app is in foreground. 

- Pic/Audio/Video. Depending on the user's selection a pic, or audio/video clip of few seconds is captured by the app.

The above information is sent either as SMS or via email to the preconfigured mobile number(s) or email ID(s). To do this the app needs SMS permission as well.

None of the data collected is stored by the app. The data (location/pic/audio/video) is sent and is deleted soon after from the local device. 

Communication between The App and Website

Information that are shared are device's location info, Video capture using front/back camera, pic taken from front/back camera, audio recorded from the device's microphone and the information provided in the app's settings page. No information is sent without notifying you. You can configure what information can be sent when a particular circle is tapped by changing the preferences in the app settings. The information sent is stored in the server for a maximum period of 48 hours. After that the information will be deleted.

Parental Control - Dinner Time app is designed for used for those parents who wants to control the usage of mobile of their kids without asking for their mobile phones. The kid's phone need to have this app installed and the parent can control their phone from website (www.TrackMyPhones.com/pc).

From the website only following command can be sent to the mobile.
1) Changing the device PIN
2) Enabling/Disabling of the device's Wifi and/or data network

From the device only the following information is sent to the server

Permission/Access requested by the app

In order for the app to function it needs the following access/permissions

1. 'Draw Over other apps' and Camera access to capture picture and also to turn on Flash Light

2. Location access to fetch device's location even when the app is running in background. The location information collected will be shown in history view.

3. WiFi state access to turn WiFi on/off

4. Admin Access to lock the device or change device PIN

Location Access Details

The app needs to fetch location even when the app is in background so that it can provide location whenever you request it from the website. 

Here are the full details on location access.

- The location data is collected whenever you request it from website. The location information will be collected in background.

- A notification is displayed whenever the app runs in background.

- The location access is optional and if location access is denied by the user, the app will continue to work but with limited functionality (no location data returned when requested)

- The location info collected is displayed in the history view. You can view the location in Google Map view as well.

- When user deletes the account, all the data collected, including the location data, will be permanently deleted.

Use of Device Administrator (BIND_DEVICE_ADMIN permission)

If the user enables device administrator privilege for the app, the app will be able to perform the following functions which is not possible without the device administrator privilege for the app
1. When user tries to unlock the device and fails for 3 times consecutively, the app takes a picture of the user using the front facing camera and sends a mail to the device owner with the pic. To detect unlock attempts the app needs device administrator privilege.
2. Change PIN of the device by issuing a command remotely
3. Lock the device instantly

  

User can enable/disable device admin privilege for the app any time from within the app. The option to enable/disable device admin privilege is provided in the main view of the app itself.

As usual a notification will be displayed while doing any operation in the background.

The app collects location information of the device in the background even when the app is not in foreground or opened. This information is collected periodically and user can view their location information by using the app.

How to temporarily disable the app from reading location information?

You can choose to disable the collection of location information by using the check box in the main view of the app.

Who all the information is shared with?

These information will *not* be published over internet nor shared with any third party website or users. The information will be stored securely in your mobile

How the application access or uses the location info?

The app works as follows
1. Every 30 min (configurable) or whenever the app is opened, the location information of the mobile is fetched (only when the reading of location info is enabled by the user).
2. All the location visited along with the time of visit will be shown by using Google Map locally.

How to clear the data collected by the app?

You can clear the location information collected by the app by using Option Menu -> Clear Data option. Alternatively, when  you uninstall the app, all the location information gathered will be erased.

Information we collect

We collect only your current location, each time you open the app, so that we are able to show the important places around YOU and help you take a peek at the places around you. We use GPS and/or location from wireless networks to get your location.

How we use it

We use the location information only to fetch the places around that information from Google. Hence your location information is shared only with Google and no one else. The location information is not even sent to our server. In fact, there isn't any.

The Google Places APIs are the only APIs to which your location information are used.

Note: Ads used in the app may use your location information. We use AdMob ads in our application.

How long we save information

Location information is not stored. Once the app exits the location information is lost. Next time the app is opened the location information is fetched again. Google Places information are also not stored by the app.
